Embracing Ai in Real Estate Photography

I’m pretty sure I am the only artist on the internet who isn’t vehemently against Ai.

That’s not to say I am a fanboy either. Ai, like Capitalism, is a thing that can work well for society with tight guardrails and oversight. Regulation is a friend to innovation.

But right now we don’t have much of that. We are in the Wild West of a new technology and much like the early days of the internet, bad people will do bad things. Unfortunately, we live in a world where we always need to be vigilant against those who would take advantage and harm people by doing things a certain way.

I love how Ai has made my editing job easier. No longer do I have to spend hours lasso-ing and cloning to clean up clutter and stage my properties. I am not taking anyone’s job but my own and I am a strong proponent of holding tech companies accountable as they seek to build the infostructure they want.

Now is the time for people to assert the guardrails when a lot of the Powers That Be are more interested in dollar signs. Ai isn’t going anywhere…but these tech companies have the money to to update the infostructure of any town hosting one of their data centers. They have the ability to ensure the communities and the environment do not get harmed. We just need to MAKE them do it because they are not going to do it on their own.

We have the leverage. We just have to use it.
